The MLS Property Information Network (MLS PIN), New England’s largest multiple listing service, has recently hit a snag in their attempt to settle the Nosalek case. This case is one of many ongoing buyer broker commission lawsuits that was filed a little over a month ago.

The plaintiffs in the Nosalek lawsuit allege that MLS PIN continues to impose rules that violate the Sherman or Clayton Act, and force buyers to pay illegal, excessive or inflated brokerage operator fees. They are also claiming MLS PIN’s rules make it more difficult for buyers to determine the exact amount they are going to have to pay, creating uncertainty in the housing market.
