The Florida Bankers Association has named Kathy Kraninger, former CFPB director during the Trump administration, to replace Alex Sanchez as CEO.
Kraninger will take over as CEO on January 1, 2023, and will be responsible for leading the Association’s initiatives to promote and protect the interests of Florida’s banking industry.
As CEO, Kraninger will be tasked with growing the Association’s membership, advocating for regulatory relief, and working to ensure the continued success of Florida’s banks.
Kraninger brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as director of the CFPB from 2018 to 2021.
Prior to her time at the CFPB, Kraninger served as associate director for regulatory policy at the Office of Management and Budget, where she was responsible for oversight of the federal government’s regulatory agenda.
